Agnieszka Slawinska, soprano
Agnieszka Slawinska has been playing the piano and the violin since she was 9. From 1997 - 2003 she studied voice with Prof. Leonard Mroz in Lodz. Master courses with Gianfranca Ostini, Renata Scotto, Teresa Zylis-Gara, Francoise Pollet, Rolando Panerai, Evgenii Nesterenko und Michel Plasson gave her additional artistic impulse.
From 2003 to 2006 she gathered first stage experience as a member of the ensemble of the Opéra Nova in Bydgoszcz in Poland where she sang, among other roles, Pamina in Mozart's "Magic Flute".
From 2006 to 2008 Agnieszka Slawinska was a member of the "Jeunes Voix du Rhin", the opera studio of the Opéra National du Rhin-Strasbourg. Among the roles she sang there were Ilia in Mozarts' "Idomeneo", Bacchis in Offenbach's "La Belle Hélène", Laoula in "L'Etoile" by Chabrier and Masha in "The Music Shop" by R. Wargo.
Agnieszka's opera repertoire goes from von Mozart (Ilia, Pamina, Zerlina, Susanna) to Offenbach (Giulietta, Antonia), Delibes (Ellen/Lakmé), Bizet (Micaela/"Carmen"), Gounod (Juliette), Massenet (Manon) reaching Puccini (Musette/"La Bohème") and Verdi (Inez/"Il Trovatore", Anna/"Nabucco", Violetta/"La Traviata", Gilda/"Rigoletto").
As a concert singer, Agnieszka has also built up quite some reputation already: In addition to the big Mozart masses and the requiem, she also gave her recital debut last spring at the opera of Lille. In summer 2008, she sang Micaela in Bizet's Carmen at the opera festival of Montmorillon.
In 2009 she has made her debut at the Stadttheater Bern in the role of Musetta in "La Bohème".
In a production of Philippe Boesmans' opera "Julie" at the Opera d'Orléans, as well as on tour through Belgium and France, Agnieszka sang the role of Christine and was highly praised for her interpretation by the composer himself.
In 2010 Agnieszka Slawinska sang Barena in "Jenufa" at the Opéra du Rhin (Strasbourg/Mulhouse). Since November 2010, she has been Pamina in the production of "The Magic Flute" directed by Peter Brooke created in Paris at his Théâtre Bouffes des Nord, which has been touring the world since then.
For October 2011, the Opéra du Rhin has re-invited her as a guest, this time for the role of Musetta in the revival of a production directed by Robert Carsen. From March 2011 she will sing Fiordiligi in Mozart's Così fan tutte at the Stadttheater Bern.
